Shepherds were everyday people. They were dedicated to their sheep, they lived in the fields where their sheep lived, and they were responsible for protecting their sheep against predators. God often used shepherds to spread his word. And he can use everyday people like us, but only if we trust fully in Jesus.
Who was Jesus? A profit, a healer, a messenger of peace? He much more – the Prince of Peace, the Son of God, the government was on his shoulders, but he is also the spark, the light amidst darkness. The reason for the hope that we have.
